14 bartenders They will test their creativity and knowledge in making cocktails in the “El Alquimista” International Tournament to be held by the Caldas Liquor Industry (ILC) next Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Manizales Club.
The international tournament will have the presence of mixologists from the departments of Quindío, Valle, Cundinamarca, Tolima, Antioquia, Santander, Norte de Santander, Atlántico, Risaralda, Córdoba and Caldas, and with participants from countries such as Panama, Switzerland and the United States .
“This initiative seeks to gain loyalty from new bartenders national and international and continue with the positioning of our broad portfolio in the foreign market where our strategic and commercial focus will also be in the next four years, indicated Diego Angelillis Quiceno, general manager of the Caldas Liquor Industry.”
The event will have a jury made up of eight expert judges from the guild, including David Ríos, recognized as the best bartender of the world. The rest of the evaluators will be: two technical juries, four tasting juries, a jury of Showmanship and a jury of time and Mise en Placewho at the end of the day will decide the winner of this initiative.
The tournament will reward the first three bartenderswhere recognitions stand out such as a trip to Spain to take a five-day course.
