The entrance roundabout and the path to the third Cipolletti bridge will have new LED lighting

Mayor Rodrigo Buteler and the governor of the province of Río Negro Alberto Wereltineck announced that there will be 174 new LED lights that will be installed in the sector between the roundabout and the third bridge (Route 151 and Circunvalación Illia), one of the main accesses to the city.

The province will transfer to the municipality 174 LED lights provided by the Energy Secretariat of Río Negro, to provide lighting to one of the key entrances to Cipolletti that has been dark and unsafe for 2 years.

“We signed an agreement in which the Ministry of Energy and the governor give us 174 lights and it has to do with the provincialization of National Route 22. We have been waiting for Route 22 to be finished for 20 years and that has not happened. To the point that the lack of maintenance has meant that, in this case, the lights on the third bridge have been turned off for two years,” said Rodrigo Buteler.

And he added: “We decided together to put the meter on those lights that are turned off by the Municipality and the province to put LED lights. It has to do with road safety. This decision by the governor and the Municipality will be possible, so that residents can travel safely.”

The roundabout and that sector is also a very important road node for the metropolitan area that connects several cities in the Alto Valle with each other and allows the circulation of heavy transport towards Vaca Muerta. During these 5 months of management, solutions to energy and lighting problems have been prioritized.

At the end of March, this entrance to the city once again recovered its luminous splendor with the activation of the electricity supply that turned on the 18 LED lights after almost 2 years of being disused.

After efforts and joint work with the province, the commitment of Governor Weretilneck, the Secretary of State for Energy and Environment Andrea Confini and the company EdERSA, the system consisting of 18 state-of-the-art, high-power LED lights was left in operation. that improves the visibility and safety of an important sector of the town.

These are 11 LED luminaires of 300 watts of power type K7; three 100-watt K5 type LED lights; and four backup reflectors type PR FLEX XL, 500 watts. Vandalized conductors and connectors, among other elements, were also replaced.

The work not only allows correct visibility, but also restores safety in an area where hundreds of pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists travel and is traveled by more than 50,000 vehicles per day that use that road to travel daily for different reasons of work, health. , studies and procedures in general.
