Sustainability from an integrative view of mining and its territory, the challenges and business opportunities for suppliers and how to connect the productive sector and the training world are the central axes of the seminars that will be held Chile Foundation (FCh) within the framework of Exponor 2024exhibition organized by the Antofagasta Industrial Association (AIA), which is carried out in Antofagasta and which links the latest advances aimed at the mining sector.

Through this initiative, FCh seeks to promote the successful transition of the mining industry towards a more sustainable model that requires addressing its challenges in an integrated manner and where open innovation and collaboration with the ecosystem emerges as a strategic vehicle to accelerate change and provide answers to the most pressing challenges that the industry faces and will face.

The first appointment will take place on June 4 from 10:15 hrs at the Exponor Fairgrounds – Mining Cluster Hall 1, an event in which various representatives of the ecosystem will be making visible their progress and experiences to move towards transformative mining in the era of the circular economy. In addition, the strategies they are implementing to adapt to climate change, and the role that suppliers play in advancing in the matter, among other topics.

He 5th June from 11:00 to 12:30 hrs (in the Chuquicamata room), the CCM-Eleva Alliance, in collaboration with IMPULSA 4.0 and the Mining Cluster Corporation of the Antofagasta Region will be presenting the Seminar «Where is the human talent for the new challenges of mining? At the event, the Antofagasta Regional Diagnosis of the “Chilean Large Mining Workforce Study 2023-2032” will be presented for the first time, along with a special presentation of the work being carried out by IMPULSA 4.0 in the region, to end with a recognition to the institutions and training programs in the region that acquired new CCM Quality Seals.

Meanwhile, the June 6th from 3:00 p.m. (Mining Cluster Hall 1), Open Innovation in Mining will take place at the closing of Exponor with a focus on the strategic vision of companies and organizations in the ecosystem on the challenges and opportunities to develop and implement solutions in the industry. In addition, success stories of those solutions that have been successfully implemented in the mining sector will be presented.
