The Municipality of Rawson launched, with the approval of the Deliberative Council, a debt regulation plan that provides benefits to taxpayers who wish to catch up with municipal rates until July 31. Now, with the success achieved, with 65% adherence and more than $600 million raised, the four blocks of the council approved the extension of the rawsina moratorium.

We are above 65% adhering to the program, and we have already raised more than $600 million.” She, in turn, explained that the intention to extend the initiative is based on the success achieved, and on the speculation that the collection of the bonus could be invested in the municipal coffers.

In this sense, the official stated that the focus is on intensifying this campaign over the next two months, in order to attract a greater number of debtors who want to normalize their situation. “We believe that it is very ambitious to reach 100% of them, but we are confident that we will achieve a number close to the entire number,” she said.

At the same time, he highlighted that within the universe of debtors who decided to catch up, those who are taking advantage of it the most are merchants. Furthermore, he emphasized that Mayor Carlos Munisaga’s decision is to maintain the rate values ​​until the end of the year, understanding the macroeconomic context that the country is going through.

On the other hand, Madueño analyzed the success of the plan and emphasized that it is explained by the fact that “the neighbors began to see how waste is now collected, the streets are paved and all the blocks are lit,” and therefore “people trust and comes close on its own to contributing to the municipality.”

“Unlike other years, now people see where their money goes,” he said.

How to access the moratorium

Regardless of the type of debt the taxpayer has with the department, the installments will be equal, monthly and consecutive. The payment methods available include the Income Boxes of the municipal building, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., the websitemunicipioderawson.gov.ar, municipal collectors at home, San Juan Servicios, bank transfer, Rapipago and Pago Fácil.

  • Payment in 1 installment: removes 100% interest.
  • Payment in up to 3 installments: eliminates 50% interest.
  • Payment in up to 5 installments: eliminates 30% interest.

In addition, it is worth noting that residents who are up to date with municipal rates and contributions will be able to access the “Good Taxpayer Discount”, also with an extension until July 31, with discounts of 40% with annual payment, or 30% % if it is done semiannually.
