This year they meet 150 years of the birth of the Congregation of Servants of Saint Joseph.

The celebration events began on April 12 at the Sagrada Familia School, with the presentation of a video that reviewed the history of the Congregation in Salamanca, a celebration of the Eucharist and an exhibition of charro dances.

The culmination of these celebrations will be next week. The day June 6thfeast of Saint Bonifacia, the educational community of the School will celebrate in the Patio del Pozo the party with the participation of students and teachers. On the 7th and 8th, a meeting-pilgrimage will take place in Zamora and Salamanca, which will be attended by pilgrims from all over Spain: nuns from the Servants of San José, Lay Josefinos, young people from the San José Movement, workers and volunteers from the different projects of the Congregation. in Spain, relatives of Santa Bonifacia and Father Butinyà, students and friends.

On Friday the 7th, the events will begin with the welcoming pilgrims at the Divina Providencia School in Zamora, place where Saint Boniface lived the last years of her life. At 9:30 p.m., in the Church of San Juan Bautista, a Prayer Vigil will take place, in which D. Fernando Valera, Bishop of Zamora, will be present.

The next day, from 11 in the morning, the pilgrims will walk the streets of Salamanca in a “Josefina Route” that will take them through the most significant places for the Congregation in the city. At 6:30 p.m., in the Church of the Clerecía, the central event, the Eucharist, which will be presided over by Jose Luis RetanaBishop of Salamanca and Ciudad Rodrigo, and concelebrated by priests who were friends of the Congregation.
