Tourism estimates that almost one billion pesos would be earned from the Rally in Misiones and called for “reflection and responsibility” in the form of complaints about the routes.

In the presentation of the 4th Argentine Rally that will be run through missionary circuits next weekend, the Minister of Tourism, José María Arrúa, made reference to the demonstrations carried out by a teaching sector in different parts of the province with interruptions in vehicular movement. “I’m not talking about the claim but about the modality of the protest,” he clarified.

By highlighting the importance that automobile competition in Misiones represents for the tourism sector, the provincial official observed that the sector “is not going through its best moment.” “We are going through, at a national level, one of the worst moments of the low season, taking into account the low number of tourists and the high costs that the sector is having, so that is why this type of events drives, energizes, fills us with enthusiasm. and it also generates positive promotion for us,” he stated.

Arrúa considered that holding the Rally will give “a great boost for the start of what is going to be the winter season.”

Along these lines, he highlighted that a month is beginning “where we are going to have a long weekend, where tourism “is beginning to have some numbers that are beginning to look positive for what the July projection is.”

“And without a doubt, this Argentine Rally, which is missionary, is going to give us a good boost for the season,” he noted. He added that according to the data, 5,000 people spend an average of approximately 200,000 pesos per tourist.

Thus, he estimated that “we are talking about almost a billion pesos that will be injected into the entire economy of the province of Misiones.”

“I hope we are all adults and reflect on what it means to cut a route at a time like this. Tourism has already suffered really specific situations last week, the tourism agencies, the hotels, we are very worried,” Arrúa insisted.
