(ADN).- The salary and bonus schedule was released and the UPCN once again highlighted its criticism of the Government for continuing to implement increases with fixed sums. The union assured that 84.5% of state employees’ salaries are constituted in this way, which affects people’s social protection since it is not included in the calculation of social security contributions.

The union led by Juan Carlos Scalesi requested salary increases in percentages, pointing out that the fixed sums do not adequately address the salary deterioration aggravated by the current economic situation.

Along these lines, UPCN graphed the damages of the fixed sum system and published the scale:

-Initial category 1: $320,000 + bonuses, minimum salary

-Intermediate category 12: $370,000 + bonuses, minimum salary

-Higher category 18: $420,000

The union therefore maintains that “converting these amounts into remunerative amounts would significantly contribute to improving current conditions and reorganizing the salary pyramid, which is currently flattened. This measure would also take into account payment for zones and seniority.”

UPCN demanded a “realistic salary proposal” that “compensates for the effects of the abrupt devaluation and growing inflation, which is reflected in the continuous increase in the prices of goods and services essential for the subsistence of workers and their families.”
