On the night of June 2, three people were murdered in Cartago, Valle del Cauca. According to authorities, it was a triple homicide and a fourth person was injured at the scene.

From the Valle del Cauca Police Department, they regretted the incident and assured that they are already carrying out investigations to find those responsible for the incident.

Colonel Giovanni Cristancho Zambrano, commander of the Valle del Cauca Police, stated that, based on the investigations that have been carried out so far, it was “a hitman incident.”

The fatal victims of this incident were Darwin Andrés Cardona Ardila, 18 years old; Álvaro Gómez Murcia, 30 years old; and Danilson Jaramillo Betancur, 21 years old.

Due to the events, the Police and municipal authorities convened an extraordinary security council that took place on the morning of this holiday Monday. The municipal mayor, Juan David Piedrahita, and the commander of the Valle Police Department, Colonel Giovanni Cristancho, called a press conference at 11:00 am to deliver the conclusions of this meeting.
