The Association of Argentine Contact Center Workers celebrated its first ten years. The mayor of the city of Córdoba, Daniel Passerini, was present at the anniversary that brought together associates from all provinces.

“I really value that this family of organized workers are celebrating today, at a very complicated moment in the history of our country, where it seems that working, fighting and demanding a right is a sin.””Passerini acknowledged.

And he added: “The mission of politics has to be to feed the dream of those who work and those who produce, because that is the synthesis that we have to recover in Argentina: that of a present State and an organized community.”

For his part, the general secretary of ATACC, Walter Franzone, acknowledged: “The things that happen in the country are not free for the worker. But with Daniel Passerini and Martín Llaeyora we always work side by side and we don’t give up.”

The provincial Minister of Justice and Labor, Julián López, assured: “We belong to a political force that, above institutions, puts human beings. We must vindicate the worker above all things: let him never be the adjustment variable and let him be a reason for progress and pride in this Córdoba that we love so much.”

Councilor Marcos Vázquez gave approval on behalf of the city, so ATACC became the first union entity in this field to be recognized in the country.

Legislator Edgardo Russo was also present.

*More work for the people of Córdoba*

Recently, Passerini, Franzone and representatives of the private sector signed an agreement to create more than 500 positions in the knowledge industry.

The Municipality of Córdoba −through the Córdoba Acelera entity− and the BPO & KPO Córdoba Cluster, with the support of the ATACC union, offers residents the possibility of obtaining a job in a complicated context.

Through this new agreement, eightCluster member companies will incorporate at least 500 formal collaborators as employees before the December 31, 2024. Part of the workers’ remuneration will be covered by the municipality through an Active Card.

This public-private coordination allowed the incorporation of some 1,000 formal workers to the different companies of the BPO & KPO Córdoba Cluster.
