LOGROÑO, June 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –

One of the company’s partners, Félix Abel de la Cruz from Rioja, has shown his “satisfaction” at being able to bring the feature film to his homeland, with which it debuts in distribution. “It is a pride that the personal commitment that Silvia Lobo, my partner in the project, and I have made can be seen in La Rioja.”

The film, which has already been seen by the country’s main critics, has their endorsement. Hence, Abel de la Cruz has encouraged the people of La Rioja to go to the 7 Infantes cinemas in Logroño starting this Friday, and to the ‘Arcca’ in Calahorra to see a film that “will surprise them, because it has all the ingredients to keep you stuck in your seat for the entire 108 minutes.”

‘Paradise is burning’, winner of the award for best director at Orizzonti at the Venice Film Festival and the award for best first film at the London Festival, has also won two Guldbagge Awards – from the Swedish Film Academy -, achieving best swedish movie

The film portrays the daily lives of three sisters between the ages of 7 and 15 who live alone after their mother abandoned them. When social services demand a family reunion, her older sister, Laura, sets in motion a plan to find a replacement for her mother.

‘Paradise is Burning’ is a film that transcends the rules of coming-of-age to capture the rites of female emancipation. A feature film that navigates between works like ‘The Florida Project’ by Sean Baker and ‘Nobody Knows’ by Koreeda.
