Francos swore “by God, the Country and the holy gospels“, with the members of his family sitting in the front row.

In this way, Francos became official as the successor of Nicolás Posse, despite the fact that he had already been performing that function for days when his appointment was published in the Official Gazette, with the president abroad following his tour in California and El Salvador.
