In recognition of the fulfillment of their missions, more than twenty Border Guard troop officers from the Villa Clara detachment were promoted to the next higher rank.
The distinguished border sentinels arrive at the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the Ministry of the Interior convinced of the importance of their mission and committed to being more efficient every day in the protection of the Cuban coasts to guarantee sovereignty and citizen tranquility.
In her speech, Lieter Cortijo Rivero, first secretary of the Young Communist Union in Villa Blanca, recognized the values that distinguish the colleagues of the Minint and expressed the trust that the young people and the Cuban people have in them.
And Lieutenant Colonel Isael Torres Cárdenas, Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Troops detachment in Villa Clara, assured that they arrive at the new anniversary of the Minint with many challenges and commitments.
Present at the provincial ceremony of promotion and decorations of Border Guard Troops were Odelvis Luis Vázquez, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the town, Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Luis Hernández Guedez, head of the Border Guard Troops detachment in Villa Clara and Idel Puentes Rodríguez, head of the Ministry of the Interior in Caibarién.
