In 2015, Argentine society gathered under a common cry to put an end to femicides. Ni Una Menos symbolizes the popular demand that put sexist violence into words. The country continues to mobilize and Mendoza is not left out. Photos of a new June 3.

The femicide of Chiara Páez shook the country in 2015 and motivated the collective organization with the cry of “Not one less”. A demand that, until then, had only been led by feminisms, became social. This June 3 once again mobilized the entire country and the streets of Mendoza were also populated by thousands of people demanding the end of the femicides and all gender violence.
1. Not one more femicide
The main demand is the end of femicides, the most extreme consequence of gender violence
2. It was lesbicide
An artistic intervention led a column to denounce hate crimes and demand the triple lesbicide in Barracas
3. Violence is sometimes invisible
Youth raise the flag of demands against sexist violence: no to femicides, no to street harassment
4. A crowd
Thousands of people marched from afternoon until night with relatives of survivors, social, political, feminist, and union organizations.
5. Down with the DNU
Different posters denounce the president’s DNU, which cuts the budget for policies and programs aimed at preventing and eradicating gender inequality
6. The cry of those who are no longer here
The power of the demonstrations is their massiveness, but the megaphones help raise the voice of the collective claim
7. Popular feminisms
Territorial organizations demand access to basic rights in the neighborhoods: “The urgency is hunger.”
8. Freedom is not market freedom
The current discussions are intertwined in the march of Ni Una Menos. The defense of freedom in opposition to market laws
9. The strength of the fight
Sexist violence can immobilize, but it is possible to turn fear into strength to get out of that situation.
10. The tireless claim
Under the cry of “Ni Una Menos” voices are raised against all types of gender violence, sometimes explicit, sometimes implicit
