This Wednesday the draw for the U-20 Women’s World Cup. At 10:00 am the ceremony began with the words of the president of the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) Ramón Jesurún.
The U-20 Women’s World Cup will take place from August 31 to September 22 in the cities of Bogotá, Medellín and Cali.
The draw drums are made up like this:
Drum 1: Colombia, Spain, Japan, France, North Korea and Germany.
Drum 2: Nigeria, Brazil, Mexico, United States, Netherlands and New Zealand.
Drum 3: South Korea, Ghana, Canada, Australia, Paraguay and Argentina.
Drum 4: Venezuela, Austria, Cameroon, Morocco, Costa Rica and Fiji.

Raffle keys
Fifa gives the keys to carry out the draw, presents the teams from the different pots of the tournament and explains that Colombia has a ball of a different color because it goes directly to group A.
Pot 1 draw begins
Colombia heads group A after being the head of the draw. France is the second ball and goes to group B. Spain goes to group C after being the third ball. Germany is the fourth team to leave and goes directly to group D. Japan is the fifth ball in the draw from pot 1 and goes to group E. Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is seeded in group F.
Pot 2 is drawn
Brazil is the first ball to come out, it does not go to Colombia’s group as it is from the same confederation and goes to position B3 with France. Mexico will be a rival of the Colombian team as it is seeded in position A4. Colombia Mexico will be played on September 6 in Medellín.
The United States will be Spain’s rival in group C. The fourth seed to come out of pot 2 is Nigeria, which will be Germany’s rival in group D. New Zealand will be Japan’s rival in the group stage after falling to group E and The Netherlands went directly to group F with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Pot 3 rivals leave
Australia falls into Colombia’s group and will be the opening match of the U-20 Women’s World Cup. Canada was the second team in Pot 3 and goes to Group B of France and Brazil. Paraguay is seeded in group C with Spain and the United States. Ghana is the fourth ball, but goes to group D because it belongs to the Nigerian confederation. Korea Republic is seeded in Group D with Germany and Nigeria. Argentina was the last ball out and goes directly to group F with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Netherlands
