It seeks to contribute to the process of providing accurate and reliable information to tourists who visit the province.

Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of the province and the Chamber of Fuel Suppliers of Neuquén and Río Negro held a working meeting at the facilities of the Undersecretariat of Tourism. The objective of the meeting was to agree on awareness-raising and training actions for the personnel who serve the public at the different Neuquén service stations.

The Undersecretary of Tourism, Silvana Cerda, participated in the meeting; the president of the Chamber, Marcelo Pirri; the provincial director of Strengthening Tourist Services, Carolina Molíns; the general director of Training and Tourism Quality, Marisa Lepin, and the secretary of the Chamber of Fuel Retailers, Matías Stalldecker.

During the meeting, great interest was expressed on the part of the chamber authorities in the initiative proposed by the Ministry, referring to the need to carry out these actions jointly to be able to reach the personnel who provide care in all cases with information. service stations in the province.

The Undersecretary of Tourism stated that the coordination between both institutions is very important to contribute to the process of providing accurate and reliable information to tourists who approach the stations as a first point of reference, thus achieving actions to make it a quality experience during your stay.

On the other hand, it was agreed to begin in the short term with the service stations of Neuquén capital, Plottier, Centenario, Andacollo and Chos Malal, belonging to the Confluencia and Norte regions.

This action is carried out through the general directorate of Training and Tourism Quality, dependent on the provincial directorate of Strengthening Tourist Services of the Ministry of Tourism. It proposes as one of the main lines of action the sensitization and awareness of the receiving communities regarding the characteristics and benefits produced by the development of tourism, promoting a positive attitude and hospitality towards visitors, in harmony with the environment.

The program for service stations emerges as a conducive means for the development of a Neuquén tourist mentality and culture, which manages to consolidate the environmental, social, cultural sustainability and quality of tourist services in local communities.

The topics that will be addressed during the training are: Tourism in the Province of Neuquén; tourist heritage; the tourist who visits the province; the Tourist Regions; accessibility to the province; tourism products: natural and cultural attractions, services and activities; sources of information for queries about routes, weather conditions, services and tourist activities; and travel recommendations.
