The tricolor team was established as the top seed in group A.
The Colombian National Team and 23 other countries met their rivals in the group stage for the U-20 Women’s World Cup that will be held in our country during the month of August and September in Bogotá, Medellín and Cali.
In an event held in the capital, FIFA established the six groups, leaving the team led by Carlos Paniagua located in group A as the seeded team as the host country.
In this same group are Australia, Mexico and Cameroon, which are the rivals of Colombia, a country that aims to win the World Cup at home.
The first match of the competition will be played by Colombia and Australia on August 31, when the orbital event opens at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín stadium.
After the match, the superpowers will remain in Bogotá to prepare for the duel against Cameroon valid for the second date of the group stage. This meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 3 at 8:00 pm (Colombia time).
Finally, the team will travel to Medellín to play the third and final date of this phase against Mexico on September 6 at 8:00 pm at the Atanasio Girardot stadium.
