A man was arrested in the capital Opita for the murder of a minor. The tragic event occurred in the Galindo neighborhood, where a 17-year-old young man lost his life on May 6.
The capture was carried out in the Tenerife neighborhood thanks to a surveillance and control operation carried out by the National Police. The action was possible thanks to the collaboration of the community and the joint work of the Criminal Investigation Section (SIJIN) and the Attorney General’s Office. The detainee, known as “Yorman”, faces charges of murder.
The commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, called on the community to promote tolerance and avoid situations that put security and coexistence in the Huilense capital at risk.
“Yorman” has been placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, and a judge of the republic will determine his legal status.

“It should be noted that the events occurred on May 6 of this year, in a wooded area of the Galindo neighborhood, where a 17-year-old minor, who had judicial notes for the crime of Illegal Carrying of Weapons, lost his life. of Fire,” the authorities noted.
Weekend operations
It is worth mentioning that over the weekend, in the municipalities of Neiva, Aipe, Palermo and Rivera, 15 people were captured; 12 in flagrante delicto and 03 by court order, for the following crimes:

05 for trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics
01 for abusive sexual act with a minor under 14 years of age
