It all started on the afternoon of last Wednesday, June 5, in Envigado, Antioquia, when a woman who had just left a bank, near the center of the municipality’s urban area, with around $30 million, was approached by two men on a motorcycle. that, with a weapon, they intimidated her into giving them the money.

In the escape, the men left the place at full speed, but at the intersection of Carrera 43 A and Calle 38 A Sur, they ran a red light and ended up being hit by a private vehicle that was crossing the area, so The two subjects were injured on the side of the road.

According to the authorities, the emergency was attended to by the Envigado Volunteer Fire Department and relief units that transferred the two subjects to a hospital, but when carrying out the corresponding inspections, due to the great road congestion that caused the accident, the Traffic agents realized that the license plates were altered. Furthermore, upon arriving at the area, the Aburrá Valley Police seized a firearm that one of the subjects was still carrying in his hand.

Given this, Colonel Eddy Sánchez Sandoval, deputy commander of the Metropolitan Police, indicated that the motorcycle was immobilized and the money was returned to the woman from whom the two men, 21 and 29 years old, had robbed, while the subjects will be prosecuted for the crimes of aggravated and qualified robbery, manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms.
