The Minister of Government, Laura Palma; The Minister of Production, Innovation and Labor, Gustavo Fernández and the Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development, Federico Ríos, signed an assistance and cooperation agreement within the framework of the “Green Change” program, whose main objective is to promote awareness in the community about the importance of recycling and supporting local consumption.

In this way, the Government of San Juan provides an action with triple impact: social, ecological/sustainable and economic. The methodology of the program consists of exchanging 20 recyclable materials for a voucher (per person), for a certain amount of money, to be used in the last edition of each month, of the Agroproductive Fair, which takes place on Paseo las Palmeras del Parque. of May. The next edition will be on Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Within the Framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, included by the UN for the 2030 Agenda, this program was thought of, which seeks to lay its foundations in citizen awareness.

As established by the signing of the agreement, which took place this Thursday in Sala Huarpes, one (1) Voucher will be granted per person and up to two per family, requiring the delivery of a minimum of twenty (20) recyclable units. If the established minimum number of materials is exceeded, a compost bag or a “Green Change” bag will be delivered.

Recyclable materials must consist of plastics, metals, glass, cardboard, tetrabrik, expanded polystyrene.

Accompanying the signing of the agreement were the Secretary of Institutional Relations, Claudia Sarmiento, the Director of Worship and NGOs, Melisa Monla, the Secretary General of the Interior, Emilio Achem, the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Agroindustry, Miguel Moreno and the Director of Waste, Santiago Ceballos.
