Former president Andrés Pastrana Arango met with the mayor of Santa Marta, Carlos Pinedo Cuello, with whom he discussed issues related to the efforts being carried out by the local administration with a view to the 500 years of the founding of Santa Marta.

It was a meeting where they exchanged experiences on administrative issues so that the performance of Pinedo Cuello is in line with the needs of Santa Marta and what better than receiving recommendations from someone who for four years directed the destinies of Colombia between 1998 – 2002, but who He was also mayor of the Colombian capital.

The former head of state, during his formal visit to the mayor, was accompanied by leaders of the Conservative Party of Magdalena and Santa Marta, among them, Alfredo Valencia, who were pleased with the results of the meeting.

Although the Mayor’s Office has kept total secrecy about the results of the meeting, those who were part of the delegation assured that it was something protocol, that the former president, being passing through Santa Marta, wanted to greet the mayor to reiterate his unconditional support, the the same one he offered when he was elected.
