the chats that could have provoked the murderous hairdresser from Recoleta

The judge analyzed the content of the victim’s cell phone, and He found a chat exchange that could be key in explaining why Guzmán hated Medina so much, and decided to shoot him.

The murdered colorist was the one who often confronted and denounced Guzmán to his bosses, due to the conflicts caused by his frequent use of formaldehyde to straighten hair at the hair salon. And that is also reflected in the chats.

In the resolution, the judge transcribed part of the conversations of the WhatsApp group “Verdini Beruti”, which was made up of its owner, Facundo Verdini, and the rest of the employees, including Medina and Guzmán.

Luis Abel Guzmán at the time of his arrest.

There, it can be seen that on February 2, Verdini forwarded an audio from his lawyer, only identified as Maximiliano, in which the lawyer made the following warning: “I have learned that products prohibited by the Ministry of Health for hair care and treatment, such as Formol. The firm already has a sanction and monetary fine for the use of this product by employees, therefore, if I become aware of this again, I will take sanctioning measures, the most serious being dismissal with cause.”

Despite this warning, on February 23, Verdini himself decided to send his employees a video, in which, given the evidence that the problems continued, he directly exposed Guzmán.

“I wanted to make a video talking about the formaldehyde issue, the formaldehyde issue eh… This is more than anything for you Abel… I have a lot of complaints with the boys And well… this topic is already surpassing me, using formaldehyde is prohibited! Ready here I say it, here I leave it recorded as evidence, I don’t want more formaldehyde in the hairdresser“Verdini warned in the video.

And he continued addressing the man now detained: “Nothing. Zero formaldehyde, the hair salon is free of formalin, because they already filed a complaint against us and I don’t want to have a problem with anything. No formaldehyde, zero zero, zero formaldehyde. If there is a client who wants to have formaldehyde, you have the freedom, Abel, if you want, to give her your phone number and you will attend to the client at her house or wherever, but in the hair salon, no formaldehyde!

Faced with such a mention, Guzmán reacted and wrote: “Now that you have this equipment, formaldehyde bothers you. Why did you wait so long to clarify so many things. I have no problem, tomorrow we will meet and resolve it but appropriately. If everything (is) a problem for you, you know what you have to do. First you say something and now you say something else. I really do not understand”.

And he continued in the chat pointing and questioning his boss: “First let’s provide good service and now let’s talk, if not you already know how to solve this.”

“You forget who you are… I was always there and I never abandoned you and you behave like this with me, I don’t want more, Tomorrow I’ll look for you in the other pelu and we’ll solve it tomorrow.”Guzmán wrote to him.

Verdini replied: “If you don’t like it, you can open your own salon. It is full of places in the area. It’s just encouraging. We’ve already talked about it a thousand times for hours and hours, but now I’m exposing it because everyone tells me that I never tell you anything. Now they have filed two complaints against us, it’s no joke.”

And at that moment of the crossing, the victim, Medina, intervened in the chat to say: “As far as I understand, you do what the boss says and if you don’t, you’ll be kicked in the butt.”

The manager of the premises, Charly, added: “Guys, I’m going to prepare a meeting with Facu so we can all chat together and solve the hair salon’s problems, always talking and in the best way for everyone.”

After having remained a fugitive, he was found in the town of Moreno.

But Medina once again questioned Guzmán’s attitude and wrote: “Hey, where did you see someone who pays your salary being spoken to like that? Yes, but what he said just now sounded like a threat. What happens? Make it short…. You are the ones in charge… If someone doesn’t like it, let them grab the door and that’s it.”

And in the last message of that chat transcribed by the judge in the resolution, the victim Medina, sentenced: “Dead the dog, the rabies is gone”.

Judge Sánchez Sarmiento concluded in his resolution that “the motive for the murder of Germán Gabriel Medina would be a matter of jealousy, hatred and professional resentment” of Guzmán towards Medina, since, among other issues, he was the one who dared to confront him, He exhibited before his peers and his boss, and because he was also appreciated by his clientele for the quality of his work as a colorist.
