Yesterday, the ministers of Labor, Planning and Human Resources, Verónica Soria, and of Industry, Commerce and Employment, Sebastián Caria, led the conciliation hearing between Textilcom and the SOIVA and SETIA unions on behalf of the recently dismissed workers.

During the meeting, the legal representative of the company presented the proposal, which consisted of the cancellation of April salaries in the first week of July. The unions considered the offer unviable in the context of the difficult economic situation that the workers are going through, so, in the absence of agreement between the parties, the Labor Ministry closed the proceedings and will proceed to initiate summary and actions. corresponding.

It should be noted that the summary will be initiated due to the infractions committed by the Textilcom company, provided for in Law No. 25,212, regarding the failure to deliver service certificates or termination of the employment relationship upon request. of the worker and the violation of the relative regulations regarding the amount, place, time and manner of payment of remuneration.

The provincial director of Labor Inspection, Carola Díaz, participated in the hearing; the legal advisor of the DPIL, Mariano Cerezo; representatives of the SOIVA and SETIA unions; delegates of former Textilcom workers and the company’s legal representative, Edgardo Jalile.
