Roberto Porretti, former mayor of Pinamar, was found dead

In Pinamar the neighbors are shocked by the death of former mayor Roberto Porretti who was found dead this Friday at the age of 65. As confirmed by police sources, he was in the pool of the San Vicente Club in the spa city. The causes of his death will be investigated by UFI No. 5, led by prosecutor Verónica Zamboni, who intervened in the case.

According to the police report, the former communal chief had been assisted in the first instance by the lifeguard present at the natatorium, located at 1009 Júpiter Street. While he was intervening, emergency services were quickly notified, whose personnel arrived at the scene a few minutes later to provide further assistance to the victim. However, when the ambulance arrived, doctors found that Porretti had already died.

Consequently, a case was opened to investigate the causes of death. Within the framework of the investigation, Prosecutor Zamboni requested the preservation of the place where the death occurred to carry out an expert report later and the testimonial statements of those who were present at the time of the incident. He also requested an autopsy be performed on the body. However, we are waiting for the Scientific Police to report the date and time in which the study will be carried out.

Roberto Porretti served as mayor of Pinamar for a short period of time, between December 10, 2007 until June 12, 2008. His management ended abruptly when he was dismissed by the Deliberative Council after being accused of asking for bribes to the owners of the city’s Ku bowling alley.

The case came to light from a hidden camera publication, in which The compromised leader was seen talking to businessmen and extorting them. At that time, Porretti had stated that the images were false and that the complaints against him were due to his administration fighting “drug crime.”
