Long lines and confusion in Constitución (Luciano González)

The seven bus lines belonging to the company ERSA, who had initiated a forceful measure to demand wages this Friday, resumed service. The decision was made after the recent payment of wages of the drivers.

The measure affected public transport users in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and part of the Buenos Aires suburbs from 00:00, since the lines included were the 19, 133, 140, 153, 184, 253 and 321. According to the statement, the strike began due to late payment of salaries, For this reason, it was reported that the retention of tasks would continue until the corresponding salaries were deposited.

It has been two months since we have been paid on the fourth business day, as appropriate, for which we took a measure with our colleagues to stop, since we still do not have any news about the jurisdiction. We had to collect yesterday, the fourth business day. The company does not give us positive news. Until they pay us our salary, unfortunately we are not going to go out to work“, explained this morning Hernán Cabañez, delegate of the employees of line 133, in dialogue with TV Chronicle.

The route of this last line includes several hospitals in the south of CABA, which generated complications in reaching that area. Notably The conflict was not due to the amount of salary, but rather to payment on time.

The delegate added: “We are waiting for the company to call us so that they can set our salary accordingly, and we have no problem in lifting the force measure. It is not the first time, last month we charged one more day. “We tried not to have any problems, so we held on for another day, but this is unsustainable.”

Due to the retention of service, complications were generated in both GBA and CABA: the route of the line 19 It goes from Villa Adelina, north of Greater Buenos Aires, to Plaza Miserere, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Balvanera; the line 133 has six routes that include Villa Santa Rita, Barracas, Belgrano, Villa Urquiza and Vicente López, and the line 140 It has 8 routes that cover Boulogne, Munro, Villa Urquiza, Puerto Madero, Colegiales, Palermo, San Nicolás, Recoleta and Villa Ortúzar, among other areas.

While, line 153 It goes from Merlo to Liniers and Ituzaingó; he 184 connects the town of Boulogne with Chacarita; he 253, to Merlo with Liniers, and 321, to the Marina neighborhood with Castelar.

The costs of the bus ticket at the AMBA differ depending on the route taken. Starting June 1st, for users with registered SUBE, the rates are 270 weights for a minimum distance, 300 weights from 3 to 6 km, 323 weights from 6 to 12 km, 347 weights from 12 to 27 km and 370 weights for more than 27 km.

Meanwhile, in May prices had already increased by 54% compared to the previous rate. Thus, they went from 130 to 200 pesos (0 to 12km), from 169 to 260 pesos (12 to 24km) and from 208 to 320 pesos (more than 24 km).
