Judge Roberto Andrés Gallardo, head of the Contentious Administrative and Tax Court No. 2 of the City of Buenos Aires, was awarded the Honoris Causa Doctorate by the University of Massachusetts, Boston, United States.

The University of Massachusetts distinguished, with the granting of the Honoris Causa Doctorate, to Judge Roberto Andrés Gallardo, head of the Contentious Administrative and Tax Court No. 2 of the City of Buenos Aires.

The academic event took place on the entity’s University campus and during its course it was noted that for its granting, special consideration was given to the magistrate’s professional career, his academic background, his permanent dedication to Social Justice and the fight for Human Rights. Social, as well as his academic activity at the University of Buenos Aires.

Likewise, his vast bibliographical production was highlighted, with emphasis on the works “Francisco vs Moloch, Ideas for an ecosocial revolution”, “Study on Paco” and “Two readings for the new Theories of the State” and the designation by SS Pope Francis as President of the Pan-American Committee of Judges for Social Rights and Franciscan Doctrine.

On the other day, the judge was received by the Governor of the State of Massachusetts, Maura T. Healy at the Government Palace headquarters. On that occasion he was presented with a diploma of recognition and the Governor’s medal.
