Saint Petersburg, June 8. — On his official visit to Russia, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, together with his accompanying delegation, attended the second day of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024, and participated in the Russia Dialogue – Latin America, the Forum event focused on International Cooperation, reported the ACN.
At this event, the possibilities of economic and commercial collaboration were highlighted within the framework of efforts to reform the international economic and financial system, seeking a new multipolar order.
Cabrisas Ruiz also had a meeting with Oksana Luth, Minister of Agriculture of Russia. They discussed issues of bilateral interest in agriculture, a priority sector in the economic, commercial, financial and cooperation relations between Cuba and Russia, as reflected in the Bilateral Economic Agenda.
Projects of common interest in food production were discussed, focusing on the recovery of traditional export products and import substitution to guarantee the food and nutritional sovereignty of Cuba.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister held meetings with executives of large Russian companies to explore business opportunities in the industry, transport and energy sectors. These meetings focused on the development of projects of mutual interest.
