A prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations presented before a guarantee control judge in Santa Marta, Magdalena, Carmen Evelio Castillo Carrillo, alias Muñeca, alleged leader of the organized crime group ‘Los Pachencas’ or ‘Autodefensas Conquistadoras de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta’, who commits crimes in the departments of Magdalena, Cesar and La Guajira.

According to the investigation of the accusing body, alias Muñeca has been part of said illegal organization for 18 years and reached the position of leader in January 2020. From then on he would have ordered selective homicides, kidnappings and extortions, as a source of financing for said structure. criminal.

Information in the possession of the Prosecutor’s Office showed that Castillo Carrillo would be a fundamental piece in drug trafficking for ‘Los Pachencas’. For this, he would have made contacts with transnational drug trafficking organizations to coordinate the shipment of shipments of cocaine hydrochloride from ports located in the north of the country to Western European countries.

Castillo Carrillo was captured by the National Police in the south of Pereira, Risaralda, when he was about to board a taxi. At the time of his arrest, he exhibited a false ID, so he was taken to a police station to determine his identity. In his possession the authorities found five cell phones from different operators.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with aggravated conspiracy and use of a false document, charges that were not accepted.

At the request of the prosecuting entity, the guarantee control judge imposed a security measure on the defendant in a prison.
