The activities began with a meeting between the co-presidents of the Intergovernmental Commission for Bilateral Economic-Commercial and Scientific-Technical Relations, the Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz and the Vice President of the Russian Government Dmitry Chernyshenko, which gives continuity to the systematic exchanges that both leaders maintain based on this consultation mechanism.

There was agreement regarding the need to expedite the materialization of concrete actions under the agreements adopted between the respective governments and progress was recognized in increasing the flow of Russian tourism and flights from that country to Cuba, among others, the Foreign Ministry reported. Cuban.

In addition, there was an exchange about the continuity of ongoing projects in Cuba with the participation of Russian companies and in the preparation of other priority Russian-Cuban businesses in the sectors of tourism, industry, sugar agroindustry, energy and commerce.

Subsequently, Deputy Prime Minister Cabrisas, accompanied by Minister of Transportation Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, was received by the newly appointed Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation, Roman Starovoit; establishing the necessary contacts to continue promoting collaboration in the air, maritime-port and land branches, as well as following up on the work projections agreed upon between the parties.

Continuing the program of this day, Vice Prime Minister Cabrisas and part of his delegation held an exchange with the Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander D. Beglov and visited the Pavilion of this region at the International Economic Forum. In the warm exchange, they discussed the possibilities to continue deepening and developing relations between the Republic of Cuba and this Russian city, particularly with the city of Santiago de Cuba, identifying specific possibilities in the training of professionals, health and exchange. scientist.
