Election day begins in La Rioja with the constitution of the 414 polling stations and the opening of the polling stations, citizens are already exercising their right to vote in the Community. In this way, 414 tables have been established distributed in 249 electoral colleges, organized in 343 electoral sections in 192 different districts distributed throughout the 174 Rioja municipalities.
Each of the polling stations is made up of a regular president and two regular members, plus a total of two substitutes designated for each one who, under normal conditions, will not be necessary. Therefore, we have:
− Regular members: 1,242 people.
Presidents: 414 and members: 828. −
Substitutes: 2,484.
In the management of the General election process in La Rioja, 5,894 people are affected, of which 834 are members of the State Security Forces and Bodies – 160 agents of the National Police and the Civil Guard will be 630 troops – and 44 police officers locals, who are ensuring normality in the development of the day.
Regarding voting by mail, in La Rioja a total of 14,082 have been admitted for the 9J European Elections
And once again, the municipality of Villarroya has been the first to vote and the 7 resident voters called to the polls in this Rioja town have already exercised their right to active suffrage, since none had requested a vote by mail. The Zonal Electoral Board has given permission for the closure of the polling station, although the result of the count will not be known until the time of closing of all polling stations.
