The president of the ProMendoza Unit also visited other organizations to promote foreign trade of Mendoza SMEs.

The president of the ProMendoza Unit, Patricia Giménez, traveled to Buenos Aires to develop a busy agenda with a view to the commercial promotion activities of Mendoza, for the second half of this year.

In this context, he met with the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Argentina, Saeed Abdulla Alqemzi, to support actions aimed at advancing the ratification of the bilateral agreement for the Reciprocal Protection of Investments of both countries.

The agreement includes the most up-to-date postulates on investment protection and recognizes a set of rights for the benefit of investors and a dispute settlement mechanism for international claims.

The president was also with Martin Ridley – representative in Argentina of Dubai Chamber of Commerce– to finalize the visit to the province of the Chamber authorities and advance the points on the agenda to be developed next August in Mendoza. Among the topics discussed, the reactivation of the hub logistics in Dubai to enhance the competitiveness of Mendoza products in the East.

In addition, focused on the Persian Gulf market, it is expected to plan participation in Gulfood 2025 and a business seminar with the Emirati Embassy, ​​which addresses the areas of interest for Emirati investments in Argentina: mining, food security and energy. Finally, a business round is expected to attract Emirati investors to Mendoza, in order to make projects available to them in the areas prioritized by the Embassy.

Giménez was also with Julián Cohen and Federico Fernández Saso, president and vice president of the Argentine Investment and Trade Agency, to jointly prioritize fairs and promotional activities abroad for 2025 and at the same time, design a program of reverse rounds in order to facilitate business for SMEs without leaving the province.

Finally, ProMendoza offered the province to host the Federal Network Meeting in September, so that all the foreign promotion organizations of each province could visit us and continue working on topics and a joint agenda for the benefit of all SMEs in Argentina.

In the meeting with directors of the Federal Investment Council, the possibility of carrying out a round of fractionated and bulk wine for September was raised, receiving the presence of importers from countries such as the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Mexico.
