A positive report in terms of accidents was delivered by the Bucaramanga Traffic Directorate, DTB, in the face of the massive celebration of Atlético Bucaramanga fans, after the victory obtained in the first duel of the final against Independiente Santa Fe at the Alfonso López stadium.

The festivities lasted from Saturday night until the early hours of this Sunday, June 9. In the celebration, massive caravans took place along the roads of the metropolitan area, mainly along the entire Carrera 27.

Carlos Enrique Bueno Cadena, director of Bucaramanga Transit, pointed out that despite these caravans, no person lost their life in road accidents.

We were accompanying our team and fans before, during and after the game, taking care of them in the streets. I have to say that we closed the night without any deaths or injuries to regret,” said the official.

It is noteworthy that due to the Colombian soccer final, the mayor of Bucaramanga, Jaime Andrés Beltrán, had lifted the prohibition measure on motorcycle traffic, which normally applies from 12:00 am to 4:00 am

“We had carried out a self-care campaign with the leaders of the bars so as not to have to regret that any fan died on the tracks. We want to thank them for their good behavior and we hope to continue like this in the next game, without deaths on the road,” concluded Carlos Bueno.
