Perhaps the most serious situation, in addition to the floods, the fall of trees and electrical networks, is reported from Ayapel, where a part of the bridge located in the Corinto sector collapsed, leaving the municipality cut off from the rest of the towns in the department.

The effects were reported by the governor of Córdoba himself, Erasmo Zuleta, who stated through his X account: “Today we woke up facing an emergency due to flooding in our department. The most delicate situation is in Ayapel, where heavy rains collapsed a bridge at the Corinto point, leaving the municipality incommunicado.. There are also emergencies in Tierralta, Montelíbano, Valencia, and San Pelayo.”

Likewise, the Cordoba president maintained that “our Infrastructure, Interior and Risk Management teams are already responding to the mayors’ calls. We urgently call on the National Government to provide us with help in this difficult rainy season., anticipating the arrival of La Niña. “We need help to overcome this crisis and protect our communities.”
