Then, with the impeccable driving of Pamela David and Guillermo Andino It began the night in which APTRA recognized the most outstanding radio and television professionals in the interior of the country.

Luis Ventura, president of APTRA, welcomed: “I want to thank everyone for coming to this beautiful party. Let’s go Mendoza, let’s go Argentina. It is a pleasure to be able to receive you from every part of the country.” Later he thanked the president of Grupo América Daniel Vila and Canal 7 and then gave way to the awards to the shortlists in 37 categories (see below).

Meanwhile, the main room of Bustelo housed just over 500 people spread across 50 tables in front of the imposing stage on which Andino and David presented the shortlists and awards. The evening menu was tremendous: an appetizer of fried pastries, osso buco with mashed potatoes, and Malbec pears for dessert.

In the middle of the awards came one of the tributes prepared for the night: an honorary Martín Fierro for the Argentine judoka Paula Paretoworld champion in 2015, winner of a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and a gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. After an exciting video in which her best sporting moments were remembered, “Peque” went up on stage to receive the award and say “what I never imagined he would say, thank you APTRA”, and then went down to loud applause.

Shortlisted and awarded, they went through the night until the second honorary recognition arrived, this time for Marcelo Romanello, the Mendoza journalist with more than 60 years of career between Channel 7, work on cable television and as creator of the School of Journalism in Mendoza. Also with an emotional video that highlighted several of his milestones, the communicator went up to look for his statuette and, visibly moved, expressed his gratitude “to APTRA and all the journalists of Mendoza, to Daniel Vila and Alejandro Spinello, to those of us who work for the true, to my family: my wife Vidalina and my children. Those present gave him a standing ovation.

Claudio Lassiar (“Come and see”, LU9 Radio Mar del Plata) left the radio, while Newscast 7 Midday He stayed with the TV guy to end a spectacular night and celebrate to the rhythm of Paraíso Cumbia, Clari Ceschin’s band that made the entire Bustelo dance, once the television broadcast was over.
