A 41-year-old man who was driving completely drunk was part of an accident that left people injured in Guaymallen. The incident occurred on Civit Street.
As specified by the Ministry of Security, several calls that entered 911 reported a collision between two trucks, one of which overturned. Upon arriving at the scene, Mendoza Police personnel confirmed that the occupants had already been removed from the interior of the overturned vehicle by neighbors and other drivers who were traveling in the area.
The accident occurred when the driver of a Ford Transit was traveling along Civit Street from West to East and collided with a Toyota Hilux, which was moving from North to South.
Doctors from an ambulance from the Coordinated Emergency Service (SEC) diagnosed both occupants of the Toyota Hilux with moderate polytrauma, which ended up overturned. The driver was taken to the Santa Rosa Clinic, while the companions were taken to the El Carmen Hospital. The alcohol test carried out on the driver of the Toyota Hilux showed a result of 0.0 grams of alcohol in the blood.
Meanwhile, the breathalyzer test on the driver of the Ford Transit showed a result of 2.40 grams of alcohol in the blood. Traffic personnel proceeded to seize the Ford Transit and police officers transferred the driver to the 25th Police Station in Guaymallén for the corresponding procedures.
