They will raise awareness for Road Safety Day

The founding partner of the Con Olor a Cielo Foundation, Claudia de la Fuente, explained that “the idea is that Road Safety Day does not go unnoticed, various school institutions are invited where an explanation will be given to the girls and boys of the function of the Road Safety Police, Firefighters, Civil Defense, Provincial Roads, Rioja en Bici and the Ministry of Transportation, among others, will also participate.”

“The idea is to raise awareness and sensitize the population about the importance of road safety issues,” he stressed and added that there will be activities such as puppets by the puppet school, ‘El Retablillo’.”

It should be noted that on August 8, 2014, Claudia de la Fuente publicly launched Fundación Con Olor a Cielo, with the objective of accompanying and supporting family members who suffer losses in road accidents. Throughout this period, the Foundation has made a strong social commitment to the prevention and awareness of road safety throughout the province of La Rioja.

This movement based on respect and love for life was born on October 1, 2009 when his daughter Nazarena Martínez died in a tragic road accident in the neighboring province of Córdoba. But better let’s let Claudia tell us in her own words:

“On October 1, 2009, traveling on a bus from the Province of La Rioja to Buenos Aires (Argentina) with my youngest daughter, one of 4 children. At the height of the city of Huerta Grande Province of Córdoba. A cruel tragedy invaded my being, a very heartbreaking accident came into my life, where Nazarena’s heart was left without a beat,” the woman said.

“It was the most chilling moment my neurons could remember having endured. I can assure you that in that moment I was able to decipher the pain of the soul, and how a part of it was detached from me, an indescribable feeling of loss. That night death knocked on the door of my emotions and a part of my interior disintegrated,” she explained.

“This loss generated in me a state of mind filled with sadness and many emotions such as anger, rage, guilt, indignation, anxiety, nostalgia. And since in the Province of La Rioja we do not have any entity that is specifically dedicated to this, it had a very bad time,” he said.
