The Directorate of Initial Education carries out actions to strengthen the educational teams of the province – mendoza.edu.ar

Within the framework of the Educational Team Coaching Program, the General Directorate of Schools and the Directorate of Initial Education work together in order to promote improvements in educational quality through Educational Coaching training.

From the Directorate of Initial Education of the DGE, its director, Adriana Rubio and the deputy director Marcelo García together with the Master Organizational Coach, Viviana Soriano, launched an Educational Team Coaching program that began in February 2024 with the presentation of the project in the Provincial Board of DGE that considered it pertinent and opportune that the topics presented be made known to the Councils of Sectional Supervisors of each Regional and, in a cascade effect, to the councils of directors of Primary and Initial Level schools.

It should be noted that the Situated Leadership and Strategic School Management project highlights the fundamental role that teams of supervisors and directors play in education and proposes to enhance their skills and competencies in leadership, communication, emotional and mental management, and teamwork. . The training consists of five meetings in the present stage (February-October); Once it is completed, the results will be evaluated and progress statistics will be prepared to enable a second stage of coaching interventions for educational teams with a projection into the 2025 school year where the topics addressed during 2024 will be deepened and expanded.

On this occasion, through the Systemic Organizational Coaching methodology, each training provides a space for reflection and support to establish objectives and develop a situated action plan that allows us to face today’s challenges:

  • The increasing diversity of the population.
  • The need to respond to the demands of today’s society.
  • Improving academic results.
  • Comprehensive health care of educational teams.

Regarding the topics that are developed in a workshop format and in-person modality, these are:

  • Proactive teams.
  • Assertive communication.
  • Emotional and mental management.
  • Time management.
  • Situated strategies.

Each content block has its integrating instance.

In this sense, the actions carried out focused on the Supervisory Councils of the Northern Regional, headed by the General Technical Sub-Inspector, María Juana Canillas, and the Eastern Regional Board, headed by the Regional Technical Inspector, Rosa Mónica Aznar. Both authorities accompanied and provided their expertise and the possibility of bringing the knowledge and content of the training to the empirical field, motivated and mobilized the Supervisors to actively participate in these sessions to make effective decisions, manage emerging conflicts in a more constructive way and create an optimal school climate that favors the deployment of the vision and mission of each school with the higher goal that is the student.
