Around 4:40 in the afternoon this Sunday, June 9, a landslide in the Carare sector of the Chaguanzá village of the municipality of Large Plow in Boyacá. The emergency left at least four people from the area buried.

Specialized rescuers and soldiers from the First Brigade and Brigade of Disaster Care and Prevention Engineers of the National Army have been supporting the rescue efforts of the missing residents since 6 in the morning, despite the weather conditions.
The Civil Defense is also accompanying the rescue work and three canines were taken to the area.
The former mayor of the municipality, Segundo Jacinto Pérez, explained to the aforementioned newspaper that, in addition to the adults, it is believed that Leonidas Hurtado and another man from Pisba were hit by the movement while they were walking in the area. “This, although it has not been confirmed, it has not been possible to rule it out either, since the farm to which they were going is in a sector distant from the emergency site where there is also no cell phone signal,” he claimed.
According to the Governor of Boyacá, Carlos Amaya, rain and fog have been recorded at the scene since early morning, which has not allowed the work to progress favorably. However, he stated that about 30 rescuers from the National Army along with three canines have been working in the sector since early in the morning.
“The Army’s Disaster Assistance Brigade arrived around 6:00 in the morning and from the municipality to the point of the emergency, according to what President Jorge Vanegas tells us, it is two hours. The Civil Defense is also accompanying the rescue work and three canines were taken to the area. who support this search for the missing,” Carreño explained.
Among the victims are four families, who had evacuated their homes a few days ago, but who lost a large part of their belongings in the landslide.
