The regional treasurer, Álvaro Villablanca, explained that the withheld amounts are being transferred to the accounts of the Courts of Justice for the payment of alimony.

For his part, the Minister of Justice, Pablo Valenzuela, highlighted the role of the Ministry of Justice, the Civil Registry Service and the Judicial Assistance Corporation in supporting women who activate the process of collecting alimony debts.
