A series of academics were unaware of being part of the Open University of Recoleta (UAR) created by the mayor Daniel Jadue in 2018, despite the fact that their names appear on the website as part of the educational establishment’s team.
In the “Academic and Social Council” the names appear: Faride Zeranthe astronomer Jose Maza, Diamela Eltit María Emilia Tijoux, Barbara Figueroa, Alejandro Goic, Marcos Barraza, among others. However, Professor Maza assured La Segunda that “I have never attended any meeting”.

Meanwhile, the former mayor of Recoleta, Ernesto Moreno, assured that he will find out why he is mentioned on the UAR page. While those close to Zerán indicated that the council has not been convened, but is part of the agreement signed with the University of Chile.
