A significant contribution of resources from the National Government to support Huila’s public hospital network with resources, equipment and infrastructure was made in the last few hours by the general secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
In a meeting with the managers of the municipal and regional hospitals convened by the Secretary of Health of Huila Sergio Mauricio Zúñiga Ramírez, the senior official confirmed the allocation of more than 25 billion pesos to Huila.
As confirmed by Gonzalo Parra González, the support will be represented in basic equipment, ambulances and elements to equip several local hospitals in their mission of providing health services to the community.
The official ratified the commitment of the government of President Gustavo Petro Urrego to strengthen the application of the preventive health model in Huila, which is why he urged the managers of the ESCOs to structure and present projects that require financing.
In turn, the Secretary of Health of Huila Sergio Mauricio Zúñiga Ramírez thanked the support for the region’s hospitals and highlighted that the current national government has granted the most resources to Huila in recent decades.
