After his victory, he confirmed to Diario Regional Aysén that he will join forces with Fernando Guzmán and Jorge Sepúlveda for the next elections.
This Sunday, June 9, Chile Vamos defined its candidates for regional governor and mayor for the commune of Aysén.
Marcelo Santana (UDI) won the 2024 Primaries for regional governor in the Aysén Region, due to the Chile Vamos pact. The candidate concentrated 63 percent of the preferences compared to his list contenders: Fernando Guzmán (RN) and Jorge Sepúlveda (IND).
In the Primaries for the election of mayors for Aysén, the former mayor of the commune, Luis Martínez was chosen as the standard bearer of the coalition.
Collaborative work
In conversation with Aysén Regional NewspaperSantana, thanked the community that elected him and reported that together with Fernando Guzmán and Jorge Sepúlveda, they will carry out collaborative work ahead of the elections on October 27.
“We are very happy with the result, thank those who chose our preference. Today we have a great responsibility, we are going to incorporate Fernando and Jorge, because we must make a robust and interesting proposal, to be able to generate, from the regional government, the changes that the region needs,” said the candidate.
Between hugs, Fernando Guzmán arrived at Marcelo Santana’s command, where he congratulated the candidate and confirmed Aysén Regional Newspaperworking together with the former mayor of Río Ibáñez.
“It is my first choice, there are tremendous challenges, I want to thank each of the people who trusted me. We are going to work together, because the objective is one like Chile Vamos, to make Marcelo the next regional governor,” said Guzmán.
On Sunday, October 27, the elections for mayor and regional governor will be held, where Marcelo Santana and Luis Martínez will compete with the new candidates and those up for re-election.
