In a tragic event that has shocked the communities of Caucasia and Chocó, two young friends, Santiago Ceballos and Óscar Soto, drowned in the Quito River last Sunday. As reported by the Noticion.co portal, the tragedy occurred while both were enjoying their vacations after the end of the school year.

The same medium announced that Santiago tried to save his lifelong friend, Óscar, who began to drown in the river. In his heroic attempt, Santiago was also swept away by the current. “They were found hugging, they were inseparable since childhood”said Santiago’s mother, visibly affected by the loss of her son.
The two young people, ninth grade students in Caucasia, Antioquia, were known for their love of sports and their big dreams of becoming professionals. Santiago was passionate about volleyball, while Óscar had a great love for soccer. They both wanted to improve themselves and support their families.

The case has moved people because of the great value of the friendship they had. The families realized that they supported each other in everything and went everywhere together, now they went together to rest.
