The Ministry of Energy of the Nation, through Resolutions No. 90/2024 and 92/2024, updated the prices of electrical energy as of June 1, 2024. This adjustment, they clarified, is due to an increase in the price seasonality of energy, changes in subsidy levels, and the application of new limits on consumption. This national definition will be transferred to the province’s electricity billstoupdating the rate tables since June 1 by an average of 38.5%. Thus, low and medium income users will suffer increases of up to 65% and those with more purchasing power, up to 16.5%.

As an example, a residential user with average consumption of 400 kWh will have an adjustment of 15.6% (Level 1), 34.5% (Level 2) and 50.8% (Level 3); due to changes in the subsidized limits in two groups that, until today, received a greater subsidy from the national government.

Registration of access to energy subsidies

For its part, The EPE invited users to review the level at which they are registered within the Registry of Access to Energy Subsidies (RASE), with the objective of obtaining the national government subsidy for electricity and gas. Those who have not registered automatically are incorporated as N1.

The RASE consists of a list of beneficiaries who have been included in Level 2 – Low Income or in Level 3 – Medium Income, based on the sworn declarations presented by the benefit applicants.

Those who are already registered in RASE do not need to do so again. At the same time, the Enforcement Authority has ordered periodic cross-checking of information to promote better targeting of benefits, in compliance with existing provisions regarding the protection of personal data in accordance with Law No. 25,326.

To process the registration, it is necessary to have the information that appears on an Epe ballot; the user’s ID that appears on the invoice; the CUIL number of each household member over 18 years of age; the out-of-pocket income of each household member over 18 years of age; and an email address.
