Havana, June 11 (ACN) Ricardo Cabrisas, Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba, and the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Evgueni Shestakov, inaugurated today in Minsk the XI Session of the Intergovernmental Commission, which will last until tomorrow, June 12.

Both authorities highlighted in their interventions the existing potential and the perspectives to continue promoting them, as well as the decision of both Governments and peoples to strengthen these ties and raise them to a qualitatively higher level, reports a dispatch from the Prensa Latina agency, dated in the capital. of the Slavic nation.

Cabrisas appreciated that, regardless of what has been achieved to date, the reality is that there is a lot of work ahead, and urged to become more systematic in monitoring compliance with the agreements adopted in these bilateral meetings.

Prior to the inauguration of the mechanism for economic-trade collaboration, the Cuban delegation met with the president of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of Belarus, Siarhei Staliarchuk, who confirmed the existence of financial capabilities to support his country’s exports to Cuba, and the willingness to support joint projects between companies from both States.

Within the scope of the XI Session of the Intergovernmental Commission, the “Roadmap for the Development of Key Areas of Cooperation in the tourism sector in the period 2024-2026” was also signed between the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Minsk.
