Macri moves the pieces in the provincial districts after recovering party management at the national level, power that had been exercised by the now ally of President Javier Milei and Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich.
The resolution appointing Aguilar was presented in Federal Court 1 of Buenos Aires, led by the judge. Servini de Cubría, and the corresponding notification was sent to the Federal Justice with local electoral jurisdiction and to the Provincial Electoral Court.
The PRO Salta was led by a dual intervention, motivated by the dispute between Patricia Bullrich and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, in the competition to obtain the presidential candidacy.
Different local leaders welcomed Aguilar’s appointment and agreed that the double intervention, which was carried out by Marcelo Weschler and Alejandro Ávila Gallo, hindered the party’s functioning, to the point of putting its legal status at risk.
Aguilar has a degree in business administration, has the support of the interior leadership, and in the last provincial election he was a candidate for mayor of La Caldera.
