The sale of liquefied gas It has been detained in the main municipality of Sancti Spíritus for 18 days, affecting more than 10 thousand clients.

José Alberto Martínezdirector of the province’s commercial house, told Escambray that the sale will restart from this Tuesday in the eight points established in the territory, but not all of them will have gas available. Marketing will be carried out intermittently due to product insufficiency.

“It may be that one day there is gas in four points of sale and the next the cylinders are collected, also considering the shortage of balitas that we have. That is why we will inform the population day by day about how the gas will be sold,” Martínez said.

More than 10,100 clients, Of the 37,337 registered in the municipality, they are waiting for the arrival of gas. The government assures that to respond gradually to the high demand they have established priorities.

“It will be sold through the queue previously established at the points and the number of cylinders available, the number at which it begins and the number at which it ends will be reported daily through different channels,” the official explained.

The couriers will receive their two cylinders to serve the population, as well as the five for people with physical disabilities and other vulnerable cases.

They will also serve 4,000 consumers who buy through the Ticket platform who have been waiting to receive liquefied gas since May.

The intermittency in gas sales is due to the deficit of this fuel at the national level.

“Due to the lack of availability of the product, it was decided to start the distribution in the West and the East, where some provinces had been without that fuel for 40 days. In other words, as the supply arrives in the territory, the sale can continue,” Martínez commented.
