Frauds reported in the water service in municipalities of the Atlántico

Cases of fraud in the public water service were recorded in Barranquilla and in the municipalities of Baranoa and Piojó in Atlántico.

According to the information provided by the Triple A company, they were found 6 commercial establishments committing fluid fraudwhich also affected members of the community.

In Barranquilla, which had the largest number of illicit episodes, the first of the findings was generated in an active commercial warehouse that had an unauthorized “diversion”, which caused the billing to not report water consumption, so it stopped billing nearly $36 million pesos or the equivalent of the consumption of 220 people.

On the other hand, in a recreational center a clandestine connection was found with which the payment of $15 million pesos in monthly billing was evaded, while in another establishment another irregular derivation was found with which They stopped paying more than $50 million pesos.

In the jurisdiction of the municipality of Baranoa, the case of a transportation company that, for the second time, has committed the crime of fraud and that of a farm that obtained the service illegally, with losses of up to $30 million pesos, was heard.

The last incident took place in a hotel in the municipality of Piojó, where an irregular connection was evident, an episode that, like the previous one, will lead to criminal complaints by the aqueduct company, due to the effects they generated.
