In the municipality of Aguazul, the ‘Works for taxes’ project was delivered, which specifically benefits the Child Development Centers (CDI) of the El Porvenir and Bello Horizonte neighborhoods.

This modality is a mechanism created in the tax reform, through which natural and legal persons, taxpayers of income and complementary taxes, will be able to pay income tax through the execution of works or public investment projects of social significance.

In Aguazul, the municipal authorities, the department and the ICBF received the complete supply of elements for the education, development and well-being of the 160 children under 5 years of age who attend the Child Development Center daily, in order to be objects of the care and nutrition within the framework of comprehensive and differential care.

This endowment is part of the project delivered in Casanare through ‘Works for taxes’, a national initiative that contributes to closing socioeconomic gaps in the execution of projects with economic and social impact that contribute to the development of the municipalities in the area of oil influence, which in this case are Aguazul, Támara and Villanueva.

The social manager of the municipality of Aguazul, Zulma Sandoval, expressed her satisfaction and thanked the articulated effort and social sense of the different government entities and private companies to guarantee the rights of the children of that town.

The directors of the oil company that accepted the economic investment proposal, which will then be deducted from the taxes to which it is obliged to pay, expressed the importance of the commitment to the education of the following generations, such as children, so that they can have the same opportunities that any child in Colombia has.

“The municipal administration remains committed to the most vulnerable communities in the municipality and works so that everyone has access to a better quality and transformation of life,” they said at the Aguazul Mayor’s Office.
