Salvatore Mancuso spoke about his relationship with the lawyer Abelardo de la Espriella

He exparamilitary Salvatore Mancuso spoke exclusively to He Colonel Report of The W, with Julio Sánchez Cristoabout the meetings he had with him former president Alvaro Uribe Velez and its relationship with lawyer Abelardo de La Espriella.

As he commented to begin with, “I met on several occasions with then-governor Uribe at that time. He has the right to defend himself and say what he deems appropriate, but The truths are absolutely compelling.”

He also assured that “the idea is not to put former President Uribe in prison,” considering that “He was our partner in the war and today I invite him to be a partner in the peace”.

Along the same lines, he explained What is your relationship with the lawyer like? Abelardo de La Espriella.

“Abelardo is a friend, known since we were young, logical, I am older than him. Abelardo is a very good friend, a very deep, very great relationship with Dr. Mario Iguarán at that time, since before he was a prosecutor. When he was attorney general they were close friends, they had a great ascendancy over each other and that is basically what I know about it,” he said.

adding that de La Espriella was with FIPAZ in the Santafé de Ralito area, “with several universities in the country, with several students when that negotiation process with the government of President Uribe.”

Regarding the FIPAZ organization, the former commander indicated that “I do not know how FIPAZ worked at that time because it was managed by Commander Ernesto Báez, I know that all of us commanders made some contributions to the management of the Ralito area when we began these negotiations with the government of Uribe and those resources were managed by Commander Andrés, but I don’t know exactly how FIPAZ worked and the resources that they got there.”
