It is the fourth monthly exercise since the current school year began, which is carried out in all educational institutions, and whose objective is learning, prevention and protection in the event of an emergency situation.
This Monday, in all schools in the provinces of Mendoza and in the morning, afternoon and evening shifts, the fourth earthquake drill was carried out since the 2024 school year began.
The General Directorate of Schools, through the Physical Education Coordination, accompanied various establishments throughout the territory and, mainly, visited school 1-714 Ciudad de Brasilia, in Godoy Cruz.
Mayor Diego Costarelli arrived at that Primary Level institution; the DGE Physical Education coordinator, Carina Ortega; the Secretary of Government of the Municipality of Godoy Cruz, Alejandro Zlotolow; the director of Education, Daniela Orellana; the Secretary of Social Development, Florencia Santoni, and the Director of Sports, Fernando Muñoz.
The Civil Defense of Godoy Cruz was also present at the drill, who “performed their task excellently, since this Tuesday they were adjusting, reviewing and practicing the exercise so that everything on this day went perfectly,” said Ortega. .
It should be noted that the Godoy Cruz Sports Directorate delivered physical education material to the Ciudad de Brasilia school that will remain in the establishment’s facilities, which demonstrates the important coordination between DGE and the municipalities, always in favor of school establishments.
The next earthquake drills for the remainder of the year will be Thursday, July 4, Thursday, August 8, Wednesday, September 25, Wednesday, October 16, and Thursday, November 21.
